Nicholas Auguston was born in Sacramento, California. After a career in professional BMX racing, he found music was the only way he could recreate the exhilaration of flying through the air on a bike.

His love for music was cultivated playing and composing with several bands in Sacramento; Oregon; and NYC. He is currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.

By using a combination of hand-played instruments with synthesizers; samplers; and MIDI controllers; Nicholas’ style of composition creates pure emotive response to film whilst maintaining the integrity and texture of raw instrumentals.

Composition and score influences include the work of John Carpenter; Randy Newman; Mark Mothersbaugh; & Vengelis.
